A Brand is Born – Introducing Crafter Collection
Not every company can afford to have a Design and Technical Department. That’s where Pen to Peg come in! We work 1:1 with companies helping them with creative and technical direction for their garments.
One of our partners is launching this month, October 2021, Crafter Collection. This brand was founded during the pandemic. We found a niche in the market, a gap that just had to be filled.
Women in trades were crying out for great fitting, hard wearing workwear. We created the brand name, the brand guidelines and started up our social media pages from scratch.
We built a community comprising of women working in engineering, woodworking, electricians, builders, and crafts. They explained that it was important that good fit, longevity, and comfort were the key drivers they required from practical workwear garments.
This collection of garments has been designed in conjunction with women across the UK. The process was collaborative and fun. The demand for great fitting women’s workwear was evident from all the feedback we were given. Women from many different trades got involved in the wearer trials and helped shape the brand and design.
We worked closely with CORDURA® the leading provider of high-performance military fabrics to create a lightweight, stretch, breathable, and durable fabric for our collection. This fabric will last 3 times longer than your average cotton workwear trouser making it a great sustainable product.
The CORDURA® certified fabric of our garments gives our customers added value and assures the longevity of the garments.
By popular demand the Crafter Workwear and Crafter Tool Trousers come in sizes 6-24 and leg lengths short, regular, long, and unhemmed.
We also have a practical women’s fit workwear gillet that co-ordinates with both trousers and gives a multitude of pockets for carrying more tools and equipment. More details of the features of each product are explained in detail on the Crafter website.
